Dental Hygienist

Karrie qualified as a dental hygienist in the Royal Air Force in 1983, and has been fortunate to develop and gain experience in a variety of roles within the dental profession. Whilst serving in the RAF she provided dental hygiene care to serving airmen and airwomen both at home and abroad.  She also provided care to patients in a department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, and for the last 10 years in the RAF, she became a senior dental hygienist tutor.

Since leaving the RAF, Karrie has worked in private cosmetic and homeopathic practices and within the NHS. She joined the practice in 2003 and in addition to being a valued member of our team, she is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists and currently holds the position of regional group secretary. She also organises national postgraduate training courses for dental hygienists and therapists and outside dentistry, loves running, swimming and riding her motorbike!
