Dental Hygienist

Since training as a dental hygienist in the Royal Air Force in 1978 Carole has had the opportunity to develop her career and gain experience in a variety of roles within the dental profession.Whilst serving in the RAF she became a tutor dental hygienist and was privileged to take the Queens Commission, which gave her the opportunity to become the Officer in Charge of Dental Hygiene Training for the RAF.

Carole has worked in a department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, in general dental practice, (in both NHS and private settings), and as a locum within the corporate structure.  She is a member and Honorary Secretary of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and a member of the British Society of Periodontolgy. She is currently the chairperson of Thames Valley Regional Group of BSDHT and helps to organise meetings and training, and she lectures on educational courses for other dental hygienists and student hygienists.
