Amit qualified from St. Bartholomews and the Royal London Hospital in 2001. He completed his vocational training in a family-based dental practice in Essex, following which he accepted a Senior House Officer post in restorative dentistry where he treated complex cases and advanced his knowledge of treatment planning and patient management. He also underwent training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, where he gained experience in extraction of difficult teeth including wisdom teeth, apicectomies and treatment of fractures of the face under general anaesthesia.

He is currently enrolled on a four-year Masters Degree at Kings College London, which he is due to complete next year providing him with specialist training in Prosthodontics. At Guy’s Hospital he is currently treating patients with hypodontia, advanced tooth wear and head and neck cancer. His particular interests include prosthodontics, oral surgery, and dealing with anxious patients. He is a member of the Dental Protection Society and keeps up-to-date with developments in dentistry by reading and teaching at Guy’s Hospital.
